Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. After settling in, you'll meet your experienced guide who will brief you on the upcoming trek and conduct an equipment check to ensure you have all the necessary mountain gear. Any missing gear can be rented on this day. You will spend the night at Salinero Kilimanjaro Hotel.

Day 1 : Trekking from Machame Gate (1790m) to Machame Camp (3010m
After a hearty breakfast, we will drive for approximately one hour from Moshi to the Machame Gate, the starting point of our trek. At the gate, we'll complete park formalities and meet our team of friendly porters. The trek begins through magnificent, dense rainforest, and though the path is less frequented, it offers a unique and beautiful experience. Be prepared for some sections that may be overgrown and muddy. After a 6-hour trek, we'll reach the Machame Camp where we'll spend the night.

Continuing our ascent, we leave the rainforest behind and enter the steep ascent onto the Shira Plateau. The panoramic views of the mountain and the distant Mt Meru are rewarding. We'll walk for approximately 5 hours before reaching the Shira Camp, where we'll spend the night.

Today, the landscape transforms into high moorland as we traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro. Passing underneath the Lava Tower and the Western Breach, we make our way to Barranco Camp. Following the mountaineering principle of "walk high, sleep low," we spend the night at an altitude of 3960m to aid acclimatization.

Our day begins with a descent into the Great Barranco, a large ravine. We then ascend the Great Barranco Wall, which offers a challenging trek over rocks but is not technically difficult. Afterward, we continue towards the Karanga Valley and finally reach Karanga Camp. For those feeling strong, there's an option for a mid-afternoon acclimatization trek to around 4200m before returning to camp.

We start the summit attempt at around midnight, trekking steeply upwards to the summit glaciers. The ascent involves trekking scree for 4 to 5 hours, but the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile. As the first rays of the sun touch the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m), we enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding ice cliffs and peaks. Another hour's walk takes us to the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m). After celebrating at the summit, we descend back to Stella Point and then continue down to Barafu Camp for breakfast. We then proceed to Millennium Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Our vehicles will be waiting to transfer us back to the hotel in Moshi, where we can enjoy a refreshing shower and celebrate our successful trek. You may also choose to spare an hour of your day to visit an orphanage as part of our community support after the Kilimanjaro trek.
